Today on Introductions our guest was the Jones College Prep High School Concert Choir, led by Gaye Klopack. They performed some scenes from their annual opera showcase at their school, which included music by Gershwin, Mozart, Verdi and more! The group is really enthusiastic about opera even though most are pretty new to it!
Here they are in I got Plenty of Nothin’ from Porgy and Bess, featuring 18 year old Presidential Arts Scholar Julian Cook:

We also heard a fun performance of Gilbert and Sullivan’s “When I Was a Lad” performed by Michael Lambol:

After he performed the Gilbert and Sullivan, I asked Michael about speaking with a British accent, and he responded in his best accent!
